Picks of the Month

Finally I have something to share in my monthly favourites. Though it’s not massive ( because I’ve been MIA) it’s totally gratifying for me to share something that I love that is worth the buy and hoping that you’ll get to remember me if ever you pass by stores and sees them and know that it’s been Chubbychicsdiary approved!

Okay, let’s start with the new and I have three.

Bellic Peel and Glow Brightening Soap- I’l be honest guys. This soap and I didn’t get a good start. I put fault on me being drastic on my shifting to brands that I didn’t give justice to this but now I’m happy that I could finally give credit to where it is due. It helped me a lot in maintaining my skin (at least) pimple free. And what I loved most is that it gave my face that youthful glow. For further information about this product, see my review.

Ovale Tomato Mask

Tomato based skin care products have been proven and tested in giving my skin good results. In fact I always look for them whenever I’m on a skincare aisle. So when I saw this new brand from Ovale (and it’s Tomato!) I didn’t waste my chances. It really helped in giving my face that . What I love most about this product is that it’s super affordable. I could use one pack for a good seven times.

Ovale Whitening Facial Lotion (Aloe Vera)

You always get tempted to try a product specially if it’s new. Even if you don’t have any idea what will become after not minding how much you spent. Hey! It’s experience that counts anyway. How will you know if you wouldn’t try?

This is my mindset whenever I see something new along the cosmetic aisle or even in supermarkets for that matter. Well, good if I got to discover that is worth the buy. And this is my experience with Ovale Facial Lotion. I’m looking for a substitute because at that time my facial lotion is failing me.

I’ve been using Ovale for a month now and suprisingly it did the job. I specifically choose whitening stuff for my face because I easily get tan whenever I go out.

How about we shift to something famous?

Cosrx Centella Water Alcohol-free Toner

This is my first introduction to the famous CosRx specifically known for healing acne troubled skin. I have seen it for awhile but inhibits me to try price wise. I have incorporated this toner in my night skincare regime after applying my Ovale Facial Lotion. I used this mainly as a facial mists to lock in moisture and let it dry naturally. What I love about this is that it keeps my face moisturized and looking fresh.

CosRx Centella Blemish Cream

This is what I use after spritzing my face with the toner. It really does prevents my skin from having recurring acne and it dries up pimples easily. I also love that Centella has an anti-aging properties which is a must for me.

Etude House Zero Sebum

I actually got mine in trial packs as a freebie (the special thing on purchasing Korean beauty products 👍) I use this as a primer or lately wear it alone. It helps keep the oil on my face at bay for the whole day.Trial size really helped in determining wether to buy or not also waste of product will be avoided. Definitely will buy a full size mow.

Gatsby Powdered Oil Control Clear Sheet

I having an oily-combination type of skin have a penchant on everything that is oil control. That is why this is my holy grail in combating oiliness. What I love about this oil control sheet is that it’s powdered, meaning to say no retouching of powder for those of you who are too lazy or no time for touchups. I also find it convinient that this sheet is a tad wider than the usual ones in the market ( which reminds me of Mary Kay’s)

add-ons

Nestea Milk Tea (Hokaido and Wintermelon)

I know this isn’t beauty related but that won’t stop me from including this on my favourites list. I know most of you were tea lovers specifically the types of Serenitea and Gong Cha. This would definitely excite you. Very affordable at Php13.00, two packs is already equivalent to a large size of your favourite bubble tea ( unfortunately no pearls included) How about that? The Hokaido variant is ( for me) kinda similar to Serenitea whilst the Wintermelon is very much similar to Gong Cha. The only downside is that it’s only available ( not that I know of) in 7-11 branches which is always out of stock.

There you have it my August picks of the month. I know most of you (specially here in the Philippines) are excited because we’re hitting the ber months already. It seems like only yesterday that we’re bidding adieu to 2016. I guess I’ll be more attentive now on posting my blogs and so happy to be creating more. Till our next favourites guys!

Picks of the Month

The summer heat officially kicks in for the month of April and all I can think of is “light” like the airy feeling. Much to my surprise that in this month I have religiously been using makeups. Nothing that you could possibly connect with my current feels, right? So let me elaborate further for better understanding. ✴wink✳

Pond’s Flawless White BB Cream –

Actually the summer heat is really irritating. So much so that aside from slacking you wouldn’t want to wear anything in your face at all. So we will be ditching foundations for awhile and switch to something lighter like BB Creams. I know there are a lot in the market but my heart was won over by Pond’s because of the whitening ingredient Gen-Activ. So while you are enjoying using the cream, there is no worries of layering multiple products to cover and protect your face. This also has SPF 30 PA++ which is a must in this summer season.

Ever Bilena Lip and Cheek Stain –

Though I often used this as a lip tint, this time it’s the other way around. Yes, on the cheeks. I love the moussy/gel type of consistency it has so using it as my go to blush is an easy peasy application. It also helps that it is in tube that you could control the right amount of product to use. Though it’s straight out red tint, it gives just the right amount of flush on the cheeks ( not overpowering) making it look so au naturele.

KJM Lip and Cheek Tint –

Yes, another lip tint. I’m pretty sure that you’ve guessed it all right. The formulation of KJM spreads entirely on my lips which separates her to other lip tint that I used. It doesn’t settle in the center only or on the sides but glides just like a Lipstick would cover. The best of all is the longevity this lip tint gives which solves me the entire day.

San San False Effect Mascara-

I admit that I totally neglect using mascaras just because the hassle of taking them off but not with this. It has been with me since I featured it in my Collab $20 Makeup Haul Challenge of last year. I must say that it really does the job of giving that false lashes effect. I love that it’s not giving me raccoon eyes unlike other mascaras that claimed to be waterproof. Also, my lashes are soft to touch and not stiff.

Colorpop Ultra Matte Lipstick in Clueless –

I chose this to be my summer lipstick because of it’s naturally pink color. Contrary to other liquid Lipstick that I used, Colorpop didn’t dry my lips and is very much lightweight. It’ll really compliments that summer skin glow.

Though this last three products aren’t makeup related it still falls on the light feeling that it gave me.

Head and Shoulders Smooth and Silky Shampoo –

I never really dare to switch brands. Since Head and Shoulders is the only shampoo that controlled my dandruff and the occasional flakes. So even though I switched, I make sure that just the variant. I know it’s summer and it’s hot but I really love the “smooth and silkyness to touch” feel this shampoo gives. Making me wear my hair down always. Not to mention the sweet smelling fragrance that’s really a need for me now that it’s summer. By the way that scent reminds me of Bath and Body Works Sweet Pea.

Cream Silk Dry Rescue Conditioner –

I swear this is the only conditioner that resolved the dry ends of my hair. I vow not to look at any other brands again. I also loved this together with Head and Shoulders Smooth and Silky equals to a healthy shiny locks. They’re just so good with each other. Oh, I really opted to buy them in sachets because it’s a lot convenient.

Lastly is my summer quencher.

llao llao Spanish Yogurt –

Their smoothies with yogurt ice cream on top is just the bomb! Literally craving it everyday. I have tasted many yogurt ice creams before and my high tolerance to sour tastes made me love them so dearly than any other ( I guess ) llao llao ( yao yao) sourness blends so well with everything concocts to it. All ends to a creamy balance that you will get hooked on.

There you have it my April Summer picks which I totally enjoyed for the whole month. See you again on my next monthly picks and see if we have some things in common.

Picks of the Month

It’s the time of the month again ladies that we share our same likes or favorites. The month of March is the birth month of my dear mother. It is also the month where my father got to meet our Creator. I believe these events will forever be engraved in my being but I never thought that another life changing one will add up to this. Well anyways it’s another story to be told. As I gather all the things I noticed that most included in this segment are somewhat became my comfort. Things that had given me consolation in this trying times.
I’ll start with this scent that really uplifted my spirits everytime I use it. The name pretty much says it all. At the same time it’s smell is my prelude to summer.

Bath & Body Works White Citrus

Though March would usually be  hot and humid, we got to have the opposite. Since the global warming is pretty evident now almost for the whole month we experienced cold winds. And what a better time for this is to have coffee. I really am not an avid drinker but I’m keen on trying everything new that is out in the market. This two newly released got me hooked up.

Great Taste Double White which for me resembled Starbucks White Mocha and although this is not a coffee Coffeemate Salted Caramel has taken my ordinary coffee days to the next level. pixlr-2

Come latter week of the month that it became hotter than the previous, taking a shower seems to be my favorite pass time. Well figuratively, just because the heat is so much to bear that you’ll be thinking of taking a shower every now and then. And very timely that I got a new body shower to try out. After a few days, I’m officially loving it!

Dial Soothing Care pH Balanced Body Wash with Collagen simply takes my breath away every time I take a bath. Contrary to the last Dial Body Wash that I had, the effect of this one is quite similar to Healthy Moisture with Soy and Almond Milk ( also from Dial) It gives my skin that healthy glow and softness. Also I don’t bother applying lotion afterwards because it doesn’t dry up my skin. Surely the Collagen is working out here.2017-04-10-17-41-53

For almost half of the month that I haven’t had a good decent sleep. If this is the case, chances are breakouts will be popping out here and there. As predicted I actually had the cystic ones. I should really thank my brother for lending me his first aid solution to budding pimples. Calayan Skin Calming Solution has been my saving grace. InstaBox_201741217207685

I’m still with my usual stuff in terms of makeup since I always lean on the light ones and weather changed finding it still appropriate.

The month of March has changed me emotionally. It gave me a sense of maturity in an aspect of acceptance and moving forward. These guys have been with me, lifting my senses. I believed even though these were just petty ones incredibly they made me survive. Lastly, though it may sound cliche Blogging has kept my sanity and I couldn’t thank you enough my virtual friends for being with me. Until our next favorites.

Picks of the Month

New year, new name. Monthly Favorites have been the solid mainstay of every blog, like mine. It’s one segment in every blogger that I look forward to come every first week of the month. That sneaky feeling of coveting someone’s favorite and trying them out to see how well it really works. If you’re lucky, you could find a gem and share it also to your friends. If not, you try to figure out where you’ve gone wrong. That at least for me. You might find some products familiar since maybe it’s also included in your lists. So for the month of January-February combined, here are my picks.

Pink Sugar Our ‘lil Secret Concealer

Making on the lists of Preview’s top beauty picks of 2016, this concealer didn’t really caught me at first use I should say. The romance didn’t work beacuse I find it too drying and tight causing to crease in every place that I put it. I was at the brink of handing it to someone that will find it of best use but I stopped myself. I had this habit of giving a product some rest upon it’s first use or prior to opening. I don’t know if you also do this but sometimes when these products were given some enough shelf time before you use it again, they seem to work pretty much effective than they originally do. If that makes sense. So on the second time around, this was already my baby. I use it to conceal my under eyes since the shade that I choose is a bit lighter than my tone. They still tend to dry up into patches but I know my trick now. Dabbing it with a lil moisturizer or moisturize the area that you are suppose to use this to avoid caking. And it also helps that I apply it using a beauty blender.

Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream

BB Creams doesn’t really do well on my face. Aside that it’s too oily, I couldn’t find any that will give a good coverage. I usually would end having breakouts after using failing me on the attempt of finding the perfect one. And so I gave up thinking that BB Creams would just only work well for those who have semi-perfect skin or the younger ones who only has a little imperfections. No large pores like mine. So when I found of last year that a lot of my favorite vlogger who also has the oily skin type as mine, swore by this product I quickly added it on my wish list. But I still have to lower my expectations and don’t give in right away and find a at least trial size first so I wouldn’t cry that much in the end. Indeed this by far has lived up to my hopes and expectations. What to love about this product is that it makes you skin radiant and glowing that no other bb creams that I tried hsas given me. The perfect dew that keeps your skin looking healthy not oily.

Garnier Miscellar Water

I guess you could say that I’ve been living under the rock for sometime now. Yes, I do wanted to have a miscellar water to help me with my makeup. But with the height of it and the countless brands in the market, my chosy self is the main culprit why I took so long. I really haven’t gotten any to at least try on and base my comparison. I just simply jumped into the best. So far, their  complaints would be stinging especially in getting off that eye makeup which I really hate. And I guess my long wait has paid off when I chose Garnier. The only down side is that it couldn’t help on taking off my Heroine Make Mascara.

Kiss Me Heroine Make Long and Curl Mascara

I have a very sparse and short eyelashes and my eyes hurt whenever I use a mascara. I really would love falsies but I couldn’t perfect putting them on just yet. So I wonder if there is a mascara that would have a similar effect as putting those falsies on. And yes there is and I found it in Heroine Make. I love that it could really make your lashes look naturally longer in a long, really long period of time without wearing off or smudging. Proof to it is that no makeup remover can get this thing off your eyes. You really need to buy their mascara remover.

Ipuda Facial Masks

Ipuda may not be your leading masks as for the quality of sheets per se but the thing is for me, a good masks is the one who is soaked in an overflowing serum which suprisingly I found in this product. I often had so much left from the serum that I soak another facial sheet tablet ( available in Daiso, Mumuso and Miniso) in it and it’s good for another use. What to love more is that this is so affordable that you won’t have any trouble stacking and following the Korean skin care routine every night with this.

Chateau Labiotte Wine Lip Tint

I recently did a review on this lip tint and from the moment of purchase it was love at first use. I must say that OR01  is surprisingly my favourite amongst three even if it’s RD01’s the main reason why I bought this was. One of the lip tints that didn’t gave me a chappy lips after a day long use. It’s also nice to have these cute little wine bottles in your makeup kit.

I wish to add more unfortunately I lost track of the products in my vanity. But surely I’ll be seeing you again next month and let’s have fun counting a lengthy list.

June Favorites

When I was about to gather all the things that fancied me for the month of June, I’m surprised to find out that there are only a few. And when I did an acquisition for the products that I consumed, only one stood out. Hence there will be some merging  for my empties which I’ll be posting next month or depending on the volume of the products. Though it’s only a few (six to be exact) things that caught my heart, they’re are actually exciting ones. Actually it’s more of my love at first use items which are quite new to me and a discovery. Though there’s one that I found myself going back to and one that I wish I could have the guts to pursue. I guess it is now well explained we will go now with with my June favorites.

The first on the list is something that I didn’t expected to have. I first saw this on itsjudyslife. While their family having a penchant for organic, I’m not really keen on the brands name let alone having to try one. Aside from the fact that it’s not available here, it costs a fortune.

  • Malin+Goetz

I’ve been using their Vitamin B5 Body Moisturizer as my night lotion. To be honest, this didn’t catch me at all (which is before I use it). Although I adore the clean minimalist packaging, the scent is something that I’m not really a fan of.

It’s actually a clean masculine scent but for no apparent reason, instantly reminds me of hospitals. The reason why I emphasize on this is that I am very particular when it comes to lotion scents. Like it matters most to me than any of it’s attributes. Okay, don’t judge please. Yes, it’s scent before anything else. Going back, but you know that I easily disregard the scent factor with this one knowing that it’s a legit organic. And that I love waking up to a supple, healthy looking smooth skin. But my liking also comes with a problem. How could I repurchase??

  • Cilantro Hair Conditioner

What made me drawn to their conditioner is that it’s very beguiling. Yes, catching word alright but in a positive way. Let me explain. The kinds of conditioners that I used are the ones that you get results as early as it touches your hair. As you apply, it glides smoothly and you feel like your hair is a ball of cotton. That definition. But it’s totally different with  Cilantro.  I got frustrated while applying this on my hair. No smoothness, tangles as I ran my fingers and coarse to the feel. Totally opposite. So with this given to me on first impression, I really couldn’t care less of whats next. But as soon as my hair dried up (air dry) I noticed how soft and managable it become. That’s what I call deception.

  • Vaseline Lip Therapy Rosy Lips

It took me awhile to finally use this product. You know that I have this weird thing making them stay for sometime to make sure of it’s effectivity. Especially if it didn’t give me good results for a start. Yes, a chance to redeem and that happened to this lip balm. I call this “pagbabalik loob” or conversion. I don’t know why it didn’t give me this appreciation that I have now way back. It surprisingly healed the dryness and chapping on my lips. And what’s best is that the natural red lips that I have since I started using it again.

  • Lalavesi Alma Cream Moisturizer

This samples were only given to me by my brother who got them from her officemate. The trail.. I’m a bit confused at the letters tho. What it stands for and the significance. Upon research, I found out that it’s the 4 seasons. First time that I encountered a Korean product with no cute characters and bold striking packaging. Yes, the minimalist themes on organic brands are hitting me. But anyway,  Akma Cream is one darn moisturizer that I’ve tried so far where you could already see results just from these samples. So sad that I couldn’t find a local online store that carries this. I’m so eager to find the amazing results in a long term use so I’m searching online internationally since they don’t have any distributors in any country but Korea.

  • Thrifting

This is something that my sister and I both loved doing. The pleasure of finding good stuff that only you owns. We’re kinda bit dramatic on that part if we find out that we wore the usuals. Lol! That feeling “artista” vibe. Anyways, I’ll be posting a separate blog on this so I could show you some finds that I had from thrifting.

  • Thrifty Hanako

Which also brought me to this. During my spare if I’m not reading a Jeffrey Archer book, you’ll find me watching her vlogs. I’m her senior but I find her very inspirational when it comes to being a minimalist. And I love how she have an eye for fashionable pieces which mostly she got from her thrifting. I find adopting mostly of her peices and include it in my wardrobe staple. Simple yet with authority. For the meantime, I’m still garnering some strength and high spirits to come up with “some” fashion blog. I’m laughing at the thought but seriously, you’ll find it here. 🙂

  • Jeffrey Archer The Clifton Chronicles

JLI15985369.1456231403.580x580

I find myself being hooked on this Clifton story. It’s been years since I engross myself to a good read. I just have to contain my excitement though so that I could get some sleep or else I would finish the entire four in one sitting.

There you have it. Another month, another good stuff. Only few but I could say worth it. Have you listed your favorites yet. It’s also a good reminder of how well our month turn about. See you on my next.

May Favorites

I noticed that I’ve been so preoccupied for the past months that I lost track of time. I haven’t even took note of the things that I love and made me happy. As what they said, Live one day at a time. And so I took time, retrospecting and found some pety material ones that took part of that summertime happiness. Oh yes, pretty shallow but then it’s the simple things that matters the most.

  • Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Face Wash  imageMy concept then of an effective facial wash measures to the lather it produces. Some might laugh at this thinking but I definitely you would agree with me. Unfortunately, that doesn’t apply to this. The formulation of this kind is a first to me having less or no lather at all ( or it just didn’t measure up to my lather expectations??) But to be honest, it is my favorite amongst all the facial washes that I’ve used.( bending the more lather, more effectve rule) I just forgot where I read it somewhere that too much lather could also cause dryness (Just help me out on this whenever you’ll find it) And I kinda believe that it’s true. This facial wash doesn’t have that tightness after after feel thus moisture wasn’t stripped off from your face. Making it less irritant. That 100% herbal actives claims seems true to it’s word. Neem has a high level of antioxidants, is anti-inflamatory and has high content of fatty acids and Vitamin E good for the skin’s cells and elasticity. Whereas Tumeric controls oily skin and cures acne. My face has never been so contented after this.
  • St. Ives Collagen Elastin Moisturizer st ivesI have my moisturizers in rotation because my skin has this tendency to get immune on products that I use for a long period of time. I feel that gravity seems to be so present lately as I feel my sagging skin. I usually lay on my right when I sleep which by the way girls is a big NO specially if you want your face wrinkle free. And so the inivetable happend, my wee laugh line seems to be much noticible by now. This just have to stop before it gets worst. So I reached out to my ever dependable collagen dose. What I do is that I slather a generous amount of this on my face ( I apply it before bedtime) The feeling is like putting on your favorite collagen sheet masks. You could feel that your skin drinks in all the collagen that you applied making your face plump and fresh in the morning.
  • Dermplus Moisturizing Sunblock IMG_20150707_160802This has been my long time favorite. What I love about this is it doubles up as my sunblock and moisturizer. I also use this as a makeup base for it’s slight tint. I just finish it off with my Pink Sugar Dual Finish Face Powder if I’ll be heading out. But on an ordinary day, I religiously apply this after washing my face in the morning because the lighting fixtures in our homes also emits UV rays. Not to mention being in front of the computer the whole day.
  • Glutathione with Rosehip Oil glutaThis has been sitting on my vanity table for so long now. I’m not really sure who’s the owner and since I don’t want it to end in my trash bin or gets expired to non-usage, I decided to find it of some use. Every night I apply this on my feet, knees and elbows and noticed that the skin on these areas has lightened in just a few days time ( really of my intention since the summer has brought about some tanning on my skin) not to mention it feels soft to touch. I got an instant remedy for my uneven tanned skin the problem is I’m already nearing to finish not knowing where to purchase one.
  • Bio Oil  imageThis beauty oil is very effective on lightening my strechmarks. Whenever I need to cure some dryness on my skin and hair, I also reach to this. And since summer is a bikini season, this has specifically lighten the stretchmarks on my behind.
  • Strip It It’s His Cold Wax 160606055832Another summer essential is this cold wax which come in handy. With less trouble of scheduling those waxing appointments,  I find it’s formulation so effective on getting rid of your unwanted hair. You can be so sure that it’s 100% pure as the application of the sugar wax could already pull out some hair moreso the stripping itself. Making it less painful and officially hair-free. I noticed that for only a month of usage that my UA hair is not that thick when it grew back which is a big thumbs up. If you want to know more about this product click here. I’m so thakful for this giveaway from the vlogger Kris Lumagui

  • KJM Cheek Tint/Pandora Tint Balm

image
This lip tint has given that perfect hint of vamp on my lips. The blood sucking color that I’ve always wanted to have for a lip tint was captured by this product. I love how it didn’t dry nor chapped my lips. It even gives a softer feel.

The  lip balm is also not your unusual one for the solid tint it gives. It is hand pressed, with all natural ingredients and has a minty feel giving you a plump, luscious lips. See my review here.

  • Bobbie Cosmetics Matte Lipstick in Sugar Babykisss/ Maybelline Color sensational Shine Gloss in Fuschia Glow

imageThis lipstick is my MLBB kind that pretty much reminds me of MAC Please Me. A good color duplicate for only less than Php 100. The formula is semi matte, non-drying and 100% lead free.
I love to use the lip gloss together with my lip tint since we don’t want to look so vamped up on a summer, this with it’s enough sheen has given them life.

  • Bath & Body Works Body Mist Endless Weekend
    image
This summer calls for everything light because of the hot weather. And this body spray has given me that enough confidence in those days.
I’m a sucker for any vanilla scent which explains why I love this to be my summer air when I walk.
  • Youtuber Tina YongtinaMy spare days ( if I have any…) has been spent mostly by watching Tina. She got me with her How to contour for beginners video and since then, I’m hooked. I love that she gives an easy, uncomplicated step by step tutorial that you could easily remember. I highly suggests for those who are starting with their makeups and want to know the tricks, basics and easy way of doing them check out her channel.

That’s it for my May. Mostly, I want you to know that my profound happiness is YOU my loyal readers, who has been with me through my absence and recurrence :). This eternal bliss, I owe it all to you.

My Monthly Favorites

Would you believe time flies so fast ladies? It might have sound so cliche but as proof here we are now on the last week of the month talking about our month end faves. I made mine a combination of December and January since I find it too late to post now that favorites.
For December here are my most used:

1. Hurraw Lip Balm – I’ve seen this floating on every celebrity blog here in the Philippines and I was taken by their praises of how this works. December is not of the usual cold month last year because of El Niño but my using of too much matte lipsticks has caused chapping of my lips. Very timely that I have this purchased on  Beauty Mnl. Since then, this and my lips became bff’s.

2. Soap Wrap Manila Hand Balm – Contrary to the month of December, January’s weather is cold with it’s winds blowing in the mornings and evenings. I find that with this temperature, my hands starts to wrinkle and becomes dry. Though I had a hand lotion that I’ve been using for months now it doesn’t seem to target the problem area in my hands, unlike with this Hand Balm from Soap Wrap Manila which is actually a gift to my sister. What I specifically love is the formulation specially made for sensitive skin. Though it’s a bit greasy, it made my hands less wrinkled and it soften some callous parts making them softer now.

3. Made by David Organics Dry Shampoo – On the early week of January, taking a shower has been a struggle beacuse of the sudden drop of temperature. I’m just being honest that at times with my now long mane, my shower time tends to get longer than before. Good thing that I stumbled upon the newly replenished stocks of this dry shampoo. Aside from making my hair looking and smelling fresh, it is organic so I don’t have to worry on having flakes on my hair which the aerosole type gives me. Downside though, it’s a hassle shaking and pouring the product on my palm. But I guess I have to live with that tiny bit of a problem anyways I’ve been getting good results though.

Come January, here’s what made my list.

1. Sooper Beaute Tomato Serum – I was lucky that I got to stock on this one beacuse of their 70% sale last holidays. I really chose Tomato infused skin care products as it effectively  brightens my face/skin. Aside from the savings that I got, Sooper Beaute skin products are really effective and affordable. I had suffered from a mild acne last year and really felt terrible beacuse the dermatologist recommended ones didn’t worked well on me. Only this that made my face truly compatible with, no breakouts.

2. Sooper Beaute Pore Minimizing Serum – I was a skeptic really on pore minimizing products in the market. Be it an anti oily kind they seem to look the same to me. They just aggrivates my pores more. So when this was recommended to me, I had my sister be a living testimony first before I dive myself into it. I said, one product at a time since my face is at it’s recuperating stage then. So finally when my little enemies started to shrink on their sizes ( I got cystic ones ) I give this a shot. My sister also has a sensitive skin so having this worked well on her, I have no doubts. It really did make my face less oily unlike before and another good thing is that it also works well as a primer.

3. Sooper Beaute Retexturizing Night Cream – This I should say is my top favorite of the Sooper Beaute purchase that I made. I have this puny laugh line on my left face that really bothers me. When I say “bothers” literally, it’s the one that I see before I sleep and one that I look at as I wake up. It frustrates me that I got to buy so many anti wrinkle cream and serum. I even have a Q10 going same as with snail creams but to no avail. What I thought could be less effective because it’s cheaper and locally made solved my problem. I’m sorry that I had that mindset but this product just changes everything.

4. Sooper Beaute Tsubaki Oil – This is my life saver. This is the one that had cure my cystic pimples. Though it’s a bit pricey, thankfully this was included in their 70% off sale. Because it is an oil, a little bit goes a long way so my pimples will be totally gone before it runs out. I also apply this on my forehead for it could also diminish those fine lines.

5. Vitress Hair Repair Cuticle Coat – Cold weather is equal to unruly frizzy hair specially mine. I have a natural wavy hair who in cold days were extra frizzy and with static situation goin on. Really ugly. This product were able to tame those frizz.  I was also able to wear my hair down without worrying it’ll go places. It makes my hair so smooth with no worries of getting oily at the end of the day. It’s one of the reasons why I was able to wear my hair down all through out the cold days.

6. Daiso Shampoo with Argan Oil – This was actually a trial purchase because it’s Daiso I didn’t worry of getting dissatisfied because it’s only less than a dollar or Php 88. I admit some products here were hits and misses. Luckily I got a lot of hits with only one miss from my last purchase and this belonged to the hits! Geez I’m so happy. It undoubtly made my hair smoother, though the shampoo doesn’t lather that much in your hair. I’m totally satisfied of how smooth my hair has become.

7. San San  Nail Polish in Nude – Oh yes! It was a total love that I got with this nail polish. The pinkish nude was my ideal MNBB color. I wasn’t able to find a very beautiful nude one that I’ve been dreaming of until I found this. Though it’s a miss application wise, I still would endure all for the love of this color.

8. Essence Eyebrow – My Wet and Wild eyebrow cake already hit pan. I was in the search  for a different product to consume actually so I changed brand. I stumled upon Say Tiocco’s eyebrow one day in one of her blogs and found myself getting so focused. Thankfully she selflessly shared the product that she’s using and off I went to the store to buy one. Luck struck me then for it was included in an ongoing sale. Eyebrows like lipsticks were I should say “my essentials” so it was one of my used makeup products. I was  inlove with how my brows looked so natural with Essence though it doesn’t have a wax included in the palette unlike of Wet and Wild’s still it was able to hold my brows color in place.

My June Hits

Hi All!

Before anything else, let me just say how I missed you all so much!
I wasn’t able keep my word of posting due to time constraint but luckily has sneaked in a few hellos. Could you imagine how much time flew and we are on the seventh month of the year already. You just don’t know how preoccupied I was of the future topics that I want to post while on blogcation. Of how my body is so present in my current state but my thoughts are on my blogs. Oh well! What’s good is now I’m back and full of enthusiasm to share my ideas with you.
To start of, I know come end of June posts such as favorites and empties came around floating everywhere. I think this more of like an obligation to comply. But since I want to compress my favorites and hates under one post, I decided to give it a new name. Instead of favorites, I will now call this my Hits.
June seems to be a long month don’t you think?  I noticed, I have a number of items consumed or maybe just hardly took time using. Because it’s quite a few that I decided to section them. Skincare, Hair, Nail Polish, Fragrance and Bag.

 Skincare

My first hit is Cetaphil moisturizing lotion. This summer marks the most hottest to date as far as I exists. The heat index is really killing me! With this, there are some from my skin regime that’s giving me a love hate relationship and for one it’s wearing lotion. But I just can’t ditch the idea of not using because dryness could just escalate me to an itchy flaky irritation. Good thing my trusty lotion didn’t fail me on this department. It’s lightweight formulation gives ease to every application. No melting on skin or tacky feeling.Cetaphil-Moisturising-Lotion-250ml_5

Sunblock

Summer is the time of the year wherein we spent most activities outdoors. This just mean exposure to the sun and with that there’s nothing that I could ask for from my Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock (whew! too long) Aside from the good Sun Protection Factor it gives at 50, this also contains Helioplex that protects skin from UVA and UVB rays. I admit that I was less educated when it comes to sunblocks. My notion is that the bigger the SPF, the better. Little did I know is that protection from UVB more so from UVA that matters most. Too much exposure to both UV rays could lead to skin cancer. You also have to take note on labels should contain the PA+ ratings.

PA is a Japanese/Korean rating system in place before the new regulations that was a way to show how much protection you are getting from UVA rays. You will see either PA+, PA++, or PA+++ on the label, with more + signs meaning a higher level of UVA protection.

Aside from all of these wonderful qualities is that it has an ultra light clean feel and most of all waterproof. Thus making this on top of my hits lists.IMG_20150707_160806

For my face I use Dermplus Moisturizing Sunblock with SPF 35. What I like about this product aside from the protection it gives is that it also serves as my make up base. The tint it gives is a big plus for a no-make up person like me specially on warm days like these. All I do is dust it afterwards with finishing veil and I’m good to go.IMG_20150707_160802

Feet

It was a hate relationship at first with this product for it isn’t giving good results on my skin. But because I value my money’s worth, I look for something that will best serve it’s purpose. Luckily I succeed! Cathy Doll’s Body Snail Cream from it’s Snail Bright Line has made wonders with my dry dull feet. I used it then after shower bearing in mind the brightening effects that could give but failed. Instead of dumping, i rather used it as a night lotion for my feet. Ever since I’ve used my thong sandals as an official footwear this summer, too much sun exposure leaves my feet on it’s dry, dull state. As a rule of thumb for a girl to own if not nice at least a decent feet, I took everything at heart. Flaunting now my footsies with much confidence because of this product.IMG_20150707_160759

Hair

I admit that I’m a total neglect when it comes to taking care of my hair. As a result, I’m most likely to put on a bun. Not until I learned of Verdon Keratin Hair Spa in Coconut Milk. I used this twice a week to give moisture to my color damaged hair. I have a natural hair which means it’s a little wavy in some places, and is also one of the reasons why I shy away from styling them. Using this product gave my hair a straight look which I wished for quite sometime. Now I’m a convert!IMG_20150707_160742

Nail Polish

Alongside with wearing sandals are good looking nails to adorn. As I mentioned on previous post, I don’t own a girl structure of feet. So my only consolation is see to it that it’s well groomed and a good nail polish to boost. As much as I want to be very particular on my brands I feel that buying an overly priced nail polish isn’t defensible. Good thing is that I found a local brand that’s a dupe for popular imported nail brands specifically color wise. As of the moment, I’m loving the Chic Nail Polish Kathyrn Bernardo Collection in Chic Celebrity Edition. It’s opaque at two coats and lasts me for a couple of weeks. The big catch for me is the price.IMG_20150707_160809

Fragrance

My go to fragrance this summer is something that is light and nice to the senses. For this I go with my Body Shop Madagascar Vanilla Flower Fragrance Mist. The sweet scent reminds me of an ice cream and candies on a summer day. This bottle has been with me for three years now and I pull this one off specifically this time or whenever I want an uplifting feel.IMG_20150707_160755

Bag

This Satchel Bag from SM Department Store is a personal favorite because it best reminds me of Philip 3.1, my dream bag. And because of obvious reasons that I find it hard to purchase one, I opted for this version instead. I wore this as a body bag because of its long strap. The color really striked me being a lover of solid tan hues. Plus, I got to put all my summer necessities for it’s roomy interior.IMG_20150707_161023

There you have it. Pardon the long list but it just gives me an instant gratification to post and share the things that I Love to all. I hope to see what’s yours too!
