Choseday Tuesday featuring Ellana Cosmetics
Happy Tuesday Everyall!
Wow, time seems to fly specially when the year comes to a half. It’s still vivid on my mind the aims and dreams of putting up this blog. One of these is to feature our local brands make-up and skincare wise. I was longing for that dream that these products will be recognize globally and that they’ll get full exposure for the others to patronize.
I dedicate this week to give focus to make up and skincare brands that I believe in. Starting off with Ellana Minerals Cosmetics.
The name Ellana means “light” or “bright” in Greek origin. A perfect name for what make up should be – light and easy on the skin, giving its users a sheer and natural glow.
Ellana is a Philippine brand and among the first to offer mineral make up in the Philippines. Our ingenuity and creativity helped us create quality products that are comparable to global brands but only at a fraction of its priceg We commit to use naturally derived ingredients in our products.
I first seen Ellana from a famous local beauty vlogger. It was the hype then of minerals make up so having this brand locally produced piqued my interest. What I specifically liked about them when you visit their site is that they’ll let you know of which skin type you belong so matching of foundations, concealers and lipsticks won’t be difficult. It is a big plus for me for honestly, I sometimes slack on using the ideal color of foundation to use specially if I love the brand. My bad.
You got to check also your skin type in which they could recommend what blend of foundation is for you. Honestly, I never knew that there is such kind for foundations.
In their Quick & Easy Beautorial is a chart in which for starters is a great guide. Upon determining your skin tone, an appropriate shade of foundation from their line is recommended. They also got to state their shade counterpart from imported brands which I’m quite amazed. And for further knowledge they got to explain the usage of the foundation, the benefits it could give. It also further explains how it is used, what can it do and what to expect inside the product. Everything is really of handy for those of us who wants to achieve the right look, guiding us in knowing our right skintone is a must.
Upon checking, I belong to the Light Warm Tones
and here are their recommendation.
Also included in their line are products for the Cheeks/Lips, Eyeshadows, Brushes. For those of you who wishes for great deals. they also offer Beauty Bundles But the best of all is that you could avail for samples of mineral foundations in 11 kinds all in .1-.2g each. All you need to do is sign up and pay for the shipping fee.
From their bestsellers is the Ultimate Pressed Mineral Foundation which contains Kaolin Clay which is best for oil/acne prone skin helping to control oil production. As this also best explains why you’re looking fresh all day. One blogger even attest that it’s much better than of a leading imported competitor as it sits well with your sunblock without worrying of any breakouts.
The Make it Lasts Make Up Primer that gives a velvety texture much similar to Hourglass Viel Mineral Primer
Ellana Minerals Cosmetics is also available in four leading stores and for those who wishes to place their orders at the comfort of their homes just visit their website here. They also offer shipment for international orders.
Ellana Minerals are formulated without Parabens, Binders, fillers or any synthetic chemicals. The products are tested by and on its co-founder and chemist and is 100% free from animal testing.
Under the lens: A look at Ever Bilena Lipsticks
It is of the obvious that lip products (lipsticks, for that matter) occupies a special place in my heart. I could easily give up my “low buy” rule on this for I never grew tired of owning even if i’m this close to hoarding. With this the case, putting priority on local brands became my focal point only not to lost track. I also would like to emphasize that there are good products that are locally made which doesn’t costs an arm. At the same time, having faith with my local brands on the perspective that it’s not a matter of trend, name or fancy a product should be but of what your skin best speaks to. And in that case, I believe that it’s still best to use our own produce because they know among others, our skin concern.
With all these in mind, I decided to put up a post showcasing what we have in the line of make ups and skincare and the very first that I would like to introduce to you is Ever Bilena.
My love for this brand specificaly on their matte lipsticks grew when they began opening their doors to world class quality. This was the time when they become expanding their line catering more to our needs. It is good to know that there is Ever Bilena who made our wishes come true. Bearing in mind what’s best for the mostly olive skin Filipina, I specifically love how they made their lip products in line of the changing wants. They produce a good kind of matte lippies that has a wide range of colors. These hues are simply at par with other leading imported brands. Some could even be a dupe of popular named ones which makes this brand a household name. And what’s best is that it only cost a quarter of the amount.
At of present count, I owned five Ever Bilena lipsticks. Three EB Matte and two EB Advance Supreme Lipsticks
( I suppose you can tell my favorite kind huh?) As much as I would love to have more (there are still some waiting on my tick list) I promise to limit myself not until it’s almost half. Just because I can’t contain my excitement (if I could just squeeze this in) as of this writing a new line of liquid foundation is released making me curious of their soft natural finish.
Something that i’m excited to review. Only from the country’s trusted leading cosmetic brand.

Choose Day Tuesday: ClioTinted Tattoo Kill Brow
Hi All!
How’s your day? Mine would be a gateway to a month long hell ones, I suppose. With that being said, I would now be giving my notice of brief absence from the blog. Ocassionaly i’ll be checking now and then on you guys or if time permits, will squeeze in some posts.
To carry on, I’m excited to share with you my thoughts on this Choose Day Tuesday. And the limelight goes to… Clio Tinted Tattoo Kill Brow
Literally when the word tattoo came to mind automatically it’s needles that you will see. The painful way of achieving beauty. Thanks to the modern age though. New breakthroughs have taken place. Now with less pain and more natural looking, tattooing on brows have been a resort of some celebrities who worries being caught up in their laid back days with fans wanting to take some selfies. But what about us, who just wants it but on a semi permanent basis minus the pain?
Brows for me is a big help when it comes to faking age. The thicker it gets, the younger you look. Agree? Beautiful brows just frames the face. Sometimes what is needed is just a groomed one, a tint on the lips and you’re good to go. And doing my brows is one thing that requires my full attention and time. Or else, I’ll make it to the next wax museum parade. With that, doing eyebrows seems tedious specially on the days that I don’t have ample of time.
Thankfully with Korea being on top of their game again, semi permanent make ups have been fast becoming a trend. And one of these innovations are the tattoo like eyebrow pens. Though it’s not permanent as what the usual tattoos are (and definitely no pain involved) the concept would be well defined brows that lasts for days or even a week. Simply apply it before bedtime (est. 8 hours) and you’ll wake up having freshly made brows that could withstand sweat and water. So intact just like a tattoo.
How excited this had made me. Imagine, having a define brow in a very hectic time is such a blessing. All you need to do is just choose what’s the best.
Clio Tinted Tattoo Kill Brow – dual type tattoo eyebrow pen with mascara. Has a self tanning component and could withstand sweat and water among others. It’s defining pen that would make your brows looked groomed and a mascara that makes them more natural.
This retails for Php 894.51 (roughly $9.48) More affordable than the real tattoo brow. And another advantage is that you could easily remove this with any make up remover.
How about you? Would you consider purchasing one or stick to the old school kind of way? Let me know your thoughts.

It’s a Choose Day featuring Hers 2n1 Sexy Lips & Cheeks with Pheromone
Hi All!
Supposedly this is a Tuesday Choose Day post but unfortunately I wasn’t able to put it up. Anyways, I have this idea going through my mind for quite sometime now. The inspiration for this is I want to feature random products that piqued my interest and have it shared to YOU, my beautiful readers.
These are rare finds that are a bit unique in some ways, the not so typical ones that you thought wouldn’t exists.
For my first Choose, Hers 2n1 Sexy Lips & Cheeks with Pheromone
Aside from the obvious, (lipsticks) which in any other form would still interests me, this product got me by Pheromone. But before we go further, a look at what Pheromone is.
Pheromone a chemical substance produced and released into the environment by an animal, especially a mammal or an insect, affecting the behavior or physiology of others of its species.
Exactly what I have in mind. A chemical substance released to attract. Just imagine this being bottled or added to a lip product. I can’t fathom even the attraction it could give let the lipstick alone more so with pheromones. Some might find it weird but at the back of my mind why is it saying genius?
Let’s dig deeper..
I happend to find this product through a local youtuber that i watch religiously. On one of her make up tutorials, this specific lipstick caught me. I’m not sure if my eyes were lying, but all throughout that video, I can’t help but admire how she was able to sport such an awesome summer look. But more specifically my eyes were tuned to her lips. I suddenly became interested on finding out the brand that i immediately looked at her description box. There, voila! It’s Hers 2n1 Sexy Lips and Cheeks with Pheromones. Excuse me? Say what?? Pheromones? You got to be kidding.

A local online shop carries this brand but originally it’s from Thailand. I tried searching only to find out it’s written in Thai. So I have to google translate it for me to fully understand. The company is still new with it’s lip line as their sole product yet. I believe their goal is We wake up confidence sleeping inside. It’s a lip and cheek tint i believe with a soft matte finish. This retails for 450 THB ( roughly $13.38) It claims to sold 10,000 bars in just three months. The Pheromones might also got them. I haven’t gotten any decent reviews yet for all is written and said in Thai. The only description that I got from the site is it’s soft matte or I haven’t fully translated it. Given that it’s matte, I suppose it’s stays a minimum of four hours.
Will I be purchasing the product? I’m not yet sold to the Pheromones idea though I admit that I’m very very curious. I still need a thorough explanation on how they were able to capture it and from where. I believe humans, animals and insects has it. I’m kinda creep out from the idea. Not until I get a full knowledge of how it’s being extracted on a safely measure, cruel free then I could give consideration. But I can’t beat the fact that Pheromones really attracts. “It’s not Magic. It’s Science!”
The 500 peso challenge
I know that most of bloggers whom I follow are under the “no buy” scheme. This is really a no joke especially for us girls who have made the make up hall our therapy booth. From recent posts and comments, admittingly I still can’t commit to such (maybe in the near future when my drawers are full) so instead I got myself a “low buy” rule. Which is I get to buy but within a certain price range without compromising the quality. To date my progression, I recently own a good pair of lip products (one that I bought from a buy 2 for the price of 1) and a good buy of organic skin care products. Just recently, I was inspired by the number of make up finds from a recent supermarket trip. The choices really overwhelms me (if a certain fad hits Philippines you would definitely have an array to chose from) You just have to pick what you think would work good on you which is a little bit tricky under these circumstances 1) There are only few products who offers sample size 2) Some low priced products have a reputation of substandard quality. Chances are, you’ll end up buying again.
When I decide to purchase a certain product, I seek reviews first. Find other choices to compare my brand with, quality wise and price wise. If what emerged to be the best, that i’ll get. There are a pretty number of newly formulated brands out there that are affecting my decisions that at such I made a plan. And so I thought, why not do a money challenge instead. That would be fun! Let’s include some spice in that bugeting. I often see make up challenge wherein you get to buy drugstore make ups in a certain amount range.
Amount up would be 500 pesos ( approximately $12) Since I’m a light make up wearer, here are my choices.
Nichido BB Cream
I’ve been hearing great reviews about this BB Cream. Priced at Php 238.00 (roughly $5.34) for 20ml. It’s claims were skin lightening (i think this is a specified quality that every BB cream has here, locally) lifting, moisturising, soothing and color corrector (this got me little confused. A color corrector which stands for CC Cream in a BB Cream?) anyways, the three qualities that I took note from reviews are 1) has a good coverage 2) lightweight 3) doesn’t transfer. I’m sold!
Nichido Final Powder
Priced at Php 150.00 ($4) for 25g. This loose powder is my commendable substitute for those Ben Nye fanatics. The silky and light finish of this final powder is what I look for a finishing veil. Not grainy or heavy it serves as a support for my BB Creams, Foundation to set.
LOL (LotsOfLove) Liquid Eyeliner
Incredibly priced at Php 100.00 ($2.25) for 3ml, this remarkable liquid eyeliner has a good reputation of non-smearing, water proof eye liner. The catch is it’s easy to take off.
Here you go. A total of Php 488.00 ($10.12) I still have a change. Not bad. Next would be going to the mall and buy these babies! 😊
Have you gotten into this kind of money challenge? I want to know about it too!
The Ever Bilena Lip and Cheek Stain Review
Hi All!
April has been giving me very challenging days that I can’t hardly cope up with my blog. I know, this shouldn’t be my excuse, since I’ve been missing you guys so much. One of my April highlights is my sister’s wedding. And so my other sister and I have been obsessing with what clothes to wear, shoes, make-up, etc. That typical bridesmaid problem. Only we’re not the bridesmaid. Anyways, we don’t really dwell that much on the clothes to wear but we focused ourselves on our make-ups. What to do?? To be honest, I’m not really a make up wearer. Don’t get me wrong here but I love them. It’s just that  i’m not into the full-gear-wearing of such. My staple would be, a good primer, good foundation (something that will get along with my combi skin well) brows, and very nice lipstick. If there is an event that I would attend, this calls for a blush. I believe that if your lipstick is good enough, it would accentuate your eyes and cheeks well. There are these lipsticks that once you wear, it gives a certain glow in your eyes as well as a hint of blush on the cheeks. That’s on my opinion. And since it’s a family event, this calls for a blush on!
I’ve been on the hunt for this Lip and Cheek Tint since I saw this sought after celebritry here in our country sport it on tv. She admits that this is her holy grail since she’s a mestiza a simple flush would do. I know it’s not only me but millions have been following on what’s that specific brand she is using. It really did her justice knowing that this is a local brand, and since mostly all celebrities here uses the high end ones, this really is a must have. On a second thought, maybe it only suits mestiza skin. Or wilI it give me the same flush that she had since my skin is not as fair nor smooth. But then again, girls mindset would be, “I-might-achieve-the-same-look” pushes well.
Due to some advertising technicalities that they were not allowed to disclose the name of the brand, since they’re not sponsors. So with a failed heart, I stopped my haunt. Until one day while strolling down the make up aisle that I found this tube very similar to what that cekebrity is holding. Yes, I had really photographed it in my mind so well for future reference. Finally, it’s a match! And to give a confirmation to my findings, I read from the brand’s official Instagram account  that it is indeed what she is using. Can’t really contain my excitement on these since it’s been on my lookout for months! And my hesistance and second thoughts was erased when I finally used the product. It really didn’t fail me. So, here are my thoughts on the Ever Bilena Lip and Cheek Stain in Very Red:
Pros
- The color payoff is very good.
- The gel like consistency makes it easy to blend, which also gives you the right amount of time to adhere in your skin. Thus answering my lip and cheek tint problem in which the product easily dries up once you put it on your skin. Giving you no time to blend and worst becomes patches of red giving you a clown effect.
- The staying power is long. Had it on for 7 good long hours on my cheeks  without touch ups. Had it also on my lips and suprisingly it didn’t dried up nor it gave me a chapped one.
- Reasonably priced at Php 135 or $4 for a 20ml. Comes in an easy to squeeze transparent tube giving you control on the amount of product you want to use.
- Has a sweet smelling scent.
Cons
- Though it smells good, unfortunately it tastes bitter. But that did’t bother me much as long as it’s tolerable.
- The color wears off on my lips after eating so I need to touch up. But this was after 6 hours.
Summing it all up, Ever Bilena is a must have specially for those who wishes quick look transformation and who are always in a jiffy. It’ affordable price but good quality made it a stand out to other local brands.
Let me know your thoughts on Lip and Cheek Tints. And would you prefer it rather than powder or mousse blush on.
Have a great day ahead!😘

My personal thought on a Monday: The life changing Star Frisbee Experience
Hello!
First, belated Happy Easter Y’all!
I never imagined that my hibernation lasted for eight days. Well, it’s been a busy week. My human body is not cooperating with me for the first three days of April. It’s like making an April Fool’s Day prank on me. But I have to get myself together since we have to go out of town and visit my Father on his death anniversary. As if I’m not feeling under the weather that I agree to my sister’s request and went to an amusement park. And there goes the ride of my life! This is what the real April Fool’s! If you’ll allow me walk you through my dare devil experience and tell me if you have gotten to this kind of ride.
Star City is one of the famous amusement parks here. Their rides are versions from some famous amusement parks in the world. As I was browsing the pictures, I saw an amusement park in Finland, Sarkanniemi which is somewhat similar to Star Frisbee the one that I rode. Though the Star Frisbee came from Italy as what they claim. I’m not quite sure if Sarkanniemi still have it though. A brief description from the website says, “…the rider is swung to dizzying heights while the outward facing seats spin around.” And from my experience? Never in my whole life that I’ll be thrown into the air while spinning around. Can you just imagine? If you ask me what pushed me to ride the thing is that I want to conquer my fears. I mean, right at that moment, is like having a life changing step. You know, the I’m-the-king-of-the-world feeling? But unfortunately, I don’t have a Leonardo with me. *sigh* Going back, my initial plan is to scream my lungs out just to release the tension. They say you have to do it just so you won’t feel dizzy, nauseous nor pass out. The line was pretty long, lot of curious heads like me huh? The long time of waiting (approximately an hour!) just add up to my eagerness. Honestly, I never been so bold here, not a tiny strand of backing out. Really brave! And as our turn came, (my sister who have fear of heights is with me) the excitement just rose higher than the heights that I’m about to be thrown out. And so, I followed the plan that I have in mind. But as the level accelerates and the speed of spinning adds up, no screams are coming out. My throat just dried up! And all I have to do is close my eyes and wait. That was the most painful waiting, to date. If it’s only for love though, I wouldn’t mind. *shrugs* As of this writing, I still feel dizzy accounting the events. Don’t ask me if I throw up. Unfortunately, what I gained from this experience? That I unleashed the claustrophobic in me. As if the sickness that I bore for days weren’t enough that I had this? Really, what a way to take care of one self. To sum it up, the experience itself is liberating. Yes, my fears were conquered, as I sit there waiting the ride to end, I got to think of the things that had me waiting for the past years. Things that had harmed me, decisions that didn’t work out. One thing for sure that I mustered up, every bad thing ends. And as it ends, you were left standing, ready to face the world again. 😉
